This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is effective as of the date shown above, and describes how VeChain Foundation San Marino S.r.l. (“VeChain,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and otherwise processes information about you when you download and use the Restify mobile application (herein referred to as “Restify” or the “App”).
If you are a data subject in the United Kingdom (“UK”) or any part of the European
Economic Area (“EEA”) and/or in any case Regulation (EU) 2016/679 applies (“GDPR”),
please also see paragraph 10 below entitled Additional Disclosures for People in Europe.
Restify is a wellness and digital detox application that rewards users for voluntarily reducing their smartphone usage. It operates on the VeChainThor blockchain (the “Blockchain”) and is
provided under the Restify Terms of Use.
The core app functionality enables users to engage in focus sessions, during which they reduce their screen time and are rewarded in B3TR tokens upon successful completion. These sessions are verified via background activity monitoring on the phone, using phone usage data to confirm that no restricted apps were accessed. Tokens are then calculated based on validated downtime and made claimable by the user.
Restify also offers optional mood tracking and screen-time analytics to support healthier digital habits. Users can optionally create an account using their email and may later register a VeWorld wallet to receive rewards.
Restify is designed with a strong focus on privacy and data minimisation. Most features do not require identifiable personal data. However, to deliver core functionality, some limited information is collected:
Data We Collect Automatically
Phone Usage Activity – Background app state and lock/unlock status during a focus session to verify phone-down time.
Log Files – Data that records events (e.g., session start/end, errors, crashes) to support security and performance.
Cookies – Small data files stored on your device that identify your browser or session.
Transaction Data – If you register a VeWorld wallet, we may process public wallet address and transaction history to issue B3TR tokens.
Data You May Provide Voluntarily
Email Address – If you choose to create an account or subscribe for updates.
Wallet Address – If and when you decide to claim rewards on-chain.
Mood Log Entries – If you opt to provide post-session check-ins for wellness
tracking.
We do not access or collect sensitive personal information or content from your messages,
media, or contacts.
We use the information we collect from and about you for the following purposes:
(a) To verify and reward focus session activity;
(b) To provide, maintain, improve, and enhance the Restify App;
(c) To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access;
(d) To comply with legal obligations and enforce rights under applicable terms or regulations.
We share information we collect in accordance with the practices described in this Privacy
Policy. This may include:
(a) Third-Party Service Providers – To perform analytics, host the app, or respond to
support requests.
(b) Blockchain Platform – Transactions recorded on the Blockchain (e.g., claiming tokens)
may involve publication of public wallet addresses that, while pseudonymous, could be
deanonymized if combined with other data.
(c) Business Transfers – In connection with any proposed or actual merger, sale, acquisition,
change of control, or bankruptcy.
(d) Legal Disclosures – Where required to comply with legal obligations or investigations, or
to protect our rights and safety.
VeChain uses reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorised access or misuse of your data. However, no internet transmission is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee the complete security of data transmitted or stored. Please note that transactions recorded on the Blockchain are permanent and immutable, and remain visible even if you stop using the app.
Restify is not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you wish to delete your Restify account and associated data, you may do so by:
Using the “Delete My Account” option in the app (if available), or
Contacting us directly at restifyapp@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and delete your account data (including any linked email, mood logs, and session metadata) within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or contractual obligations.
Please note that data recorded on the blockchain (e.g., public wallet addresses or token transfers) is immutable and cannot be deleted
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time. Any updates will be effective immediately upon posting. Material changes may be communicated to you via email or in-app notice.

VeChain acts as a controller with respect to personal data collected as you interact with our App.
(b) Lawful Basis for Processing
Our lawful bases include:
(i) To fulfill our obligations under the Restify Terms of Use.
(ii) To comply with legal obligations where applicable.
(c) Retention of Information
We retain personal data for no longer than the necessary period. Blockchain-related data, by design, cannot be deleted once recorded, though we avoid storing directly identifiable personal data on-chain.
(d) Data Transfer
We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions) when transferring data outside the UK/EEA.
(e) Your Data Subject Rights
You may:
Access, rectify, and erase your personal data.
Request data portability or restrict processing.
Object to processing or withdraw consent.
